How do I apply for a Residence Card (ARC)?
If you'll stay in Korea for more than 90 days, register as a foreigner within 90 days of entry at the immigration office for your area. Book the visit on HiKorea first. What to do 1. Book a visit on HiKorea (Reserve Visit) at the immigration office that covers your address. 2. Bring your passport, the application form, a photo, proof of address (such as your lease) and any documents your status of stay needs. 1345 can tell you the current fee and the papers for your status. 3. If you get a new status or change status inside Korea, register right away. Good to know • Carry your card; not carrying it can bring a fine. A Mobile Residence Card on your phone is also valid ID (see HiKorea). • Lost card: report it on HiKorea and apply for a new one at the immigration office. • Report changes such as a new passport or name within 15 days.
