I moved. Do I have to report my new address?
Yes. As a registered foreigner, you must report your new address within 15 days of moving in: online on HiKorea, at the community service center for your new address, or at your immigration office. What to do 1. Get proof of your new address, such as your lease contract or an accommodation provision confirmation. 2. Report within 15 days. If you go in person, bring your passport or residence card. 3. Don't wait: after 15 days the community service center can't take the report, so you have to go to the immigration office, and you may be fined. Good to know • Renting? Your alien registration plus this address report is what can give you protection under the Housing Lease Protection Act, so report soon after moving in. • Depending on the deposit, rent and area, the lease itself may also need to be reported.
