I got a new passport. What do I need to report in Korea?
If you have an ARC, report your new passport to Korean immigration within 15 days. Your own country's embassy or consulate issues the passport; this report is a separate step. What to do 1. File a report of change in your alien registration details (외국인등록사항 변경신고) within 15 days of getting the new passport. 2. Online: use "Report Change in Registration Details (Passport Change)" in HiKorea e-Application. 3. Or visit the immigration office for your address; passport change reports don't need a reservation. Bring your passport, ARC and the change report form. You can go yourself or send an agent. Good to know • If you miss the deadline, you can be fined. • If your bank, mobile carrier or employer has your old passport number on file, ask whether they need the new one.
